What is a motor overheat and overload protector?
The function of motor protector is to protect and control the motor comprehensively. (1) Thermal relays are metal-plate mechanical motor overload protectors developed by Soviet technology in the early 1950s.
It has anti-time performance and simple structure in protecting the motor overload. However, there are few functions, no phase failure protection, poor ventilation of the motor, broom, blockage, and long-term overload; Frequent startup and other faults do not protect. This is mainly because the thermal relay action curve and the actual motor protection curve are inconsistent and lose protection. And the repetition performance is poor, the large current overload or short circuit fault can not be used again, the adjustment error is large, the temperature is easily affected by the environmental temperature, or the refusal, the power consumption is large, the consumables are large, and the performance index is backward.

The utility model has the advantages of simple structure, reliable action and wide protection range, but the action is slow and the return time is long, and the delta connection motor of 3KW or more is not suitable for use. Nowadays, it is widely used in electric fans, refrigerators, air conditioner compressors, etc.
The temperature relay is different from the thermal relay. The temperature relay is mounted inside the motor and operates during periods of temperature change. The thermal relay is mounted on the power line and acts on the thermal effect of the current.

(3) Electronic motor protectors have evolved from transistors to integrated circuits to date, and have been developed into microchip thick mode circuits. From the function, it is generally divided into phase failure protection, comprehensive protection (multi-function protection), temperature protection and intelligent protection. The protector has the advantages of energy saving, sensitive action, high precision, shock and vibration resistance, good repeatability, complete protection function and low power consumption.
