What is KSD301 temperature switch?

KSD301 overheating protection switch is a bimetallic instantaneous temperature control switch with a fixed temperature

Design principle:
The KSD301 series thermostat has an automatic reset function. Utilize the principle that the butterfly-shaped bimetallic sheet produces instantaneous beating under the action of temperature. Through the rapid action of the internal structure, the purpose of disconnecting or connecting the power supply is achieved.

  Action temperature form:
NC-normally closed type:
Turn-off temperature is higher than turn-on temperature
NO- normally open type:
Turn-off temperature is lower than turn-on temperature

 M-manual reset type:
After the temperature control switch is disconnected at the set temperature point, it cannot be reset automatically and needs to be reset manually
Automatic reset type: After the temperature drops to the set temperature point, it will automatically reset and turn on the power

technical parameter:
Temperature range: -10℃~300℃
Insulation resistance: Use a DC500V insulation resistance meter and add a rated voltage of DC500V to measure more than 100MΩ.
Electric strength: Between the charged metal parts and the non-metal parts, it can withstand a 1500V 50Hz AC voltage close to a sine wave. The withstand voltage test lasts for one minute without breakdown and flashover.

Test Methods:
Clamp the thermostat in the test area and wait for the temperature in the temperature test area to balance before starting the test. Air is used as the heating medium in the test furnace, and a thermometer or temperature sensor is placed in the temperature measurement area. Starting at 2K before the temperature enters the operating temperature tolerance range, heating or cooling is performed at a temperature change rate of less than 1K/min, during which stirring must be carried out to make the temperature distribution fully uniform;
The uniformity of temperature distribution in the temperature measurement zone is within ±0.4K. The test device can be equipped with an on-off display device. The voltage between the two terminals of the thermostat is 5V~12V, and the current through the sample is greater than 10mA.

Installation Precautions :
The KSD301 thermostat should work in a general indoor environment where the relative humidity of the air is not greater than 90%, and there is no corrosive gas, flammable gas and conductive dust.
When the KSD301 thermostat adopts contact temperature sensing, its cover should be close to the heating part of the controlled appliance. And should be coated with thermally conductive silicone grease or other thermally conductive media with similar performance on the temperature-sensitive surface of the top cover.
When the KSD301 thermostat senses the temperature through contact with liquid or steam, it is strongly recommended to use a product with a stainless steel cover. And there should be reliable leak-proof measures to prevent liquid from seeping into the insulating parts of the thermostat.
Do not collapse or deform the top of the cover, so as not to change the operating temperature or affect other properties.
Do not allow liquid to penetrate into the inner housing of the thermostat. Excessive pressure must be avoided to prevent cracks;
The housing should be kept clean to prevent conductive materials from being contaminated. In order to avoid short-circuit breakdown due to reduced insulation performance.
