Filled tube thermal fuse RT:
Packed tube thermal fuse is a thermal fuse with limited flow. It consists of a ceramic sand tube filled with quartz sand, contacts and a silver-plated copper grid-like melt. Packed tube thermal fuses are installed on special bases, such as those with isolating knife gates or those with thermal fuses as isolating knives. Packed tube fuses have a rated current of 50 to 1000A, and are mainly used in circuits with large short-circuit currents or in places with flammable gases.


Unfilled tube thermal fuse RM:
The fuse tube of the unfilled tube thermal fuse is made of fibrous material. The melt used was a zinc alloy sheet of variable cross section. When the hot melt is blown, part of the fiber material of the fiber melting tube is decomposed by heat, which generates high-pressure gas, which causes the arc to extinguish quickly. The unfilled pipe thermal fuse has the characteristics of simple structure, good protection performance and convenient use. Generally used in combination with a knife switch to form a thermal fuse knife switch.

Filled closed tube type fast thermal fuse RS:
Filled closed tube type fast thermal fuse is a fast-acting fuse, consisting of a fuse, a contact base, an action indicator and a melt. The melt is in the form of a silver narrow cross section or a net. The melt is disposable and cannot be replaced by itself. Due to its fast action, it is generally used for semiconductor rectifier protection.

The open type thermal fuse has a simple structure, the melt is completely exposed to the air, and it is supported by a porcelain column without a support, which is suitable for low-voltage outdoor use. When the current is interrupted, a large sound and light are generated in the atmosphere.

The melt of the semi-closed thermal fuse is installed on a porcelain frame and inserted into a porcelain box with metal sockets at both ends, which is suitable for low-voltage indoor use. When the current is interrupted, the sound and light generated are blocked by the porcelain box.


The fuse of the tubular thermal fuse is contained in the fuse body. Then plug it into the stand or directly connect to the circuit for use. A thermal fuse is a completely sealed insulated tube with a metal cap or a contact blade on both ends. If the insulating tube of this thermal fuse is filled with quartz sand, it has a current-limiting effect when breaking the current, which can greatly improve the breaking capacity, so it is also called a high breaking capacity thermal fuse. If the tube is evacuated, it is called a vacuum thermal fuse. If the tube is filled with SF6 gas, it is called SF6 thermal fuse, and its purpose is to improve the arc extinguishing performance. Because quartz sand, vacuum and SF6 gas all have better insulation performance, this thermal fuse is suitable not only for low voltage but also high voltage.

The spray-type thermal fuse is a melt that is packed in an insulating tube made of solid gas-generating material. The solid gas-producing materials can be electrical anti-white paper or plexiglass materials. When the short-circuit current passes through the hot melt, the melt is immediately fused to generate an arc. The high-temperature arc causes the solid gas-producing material to rapidly decompose to generate a large amount of high-pressure gas, so that the ionized gas with an arc is sprayed out at both ends of the tube, emitting great sound and light, and extinguishing the arc when the AC current crosses zero to interrupt the current. The insulation tube is usually mounted on an insulation support to form the fuse. Sometimes the upper end of the insulating tube is made movable, and it will fall off immediately after breaking the current. This type of jet fuse is commonly known as a drop fuse. Generally suitable for outdoor occasions with a voltage higher than 6 kV.

In addition, thermal fuses can be divided into general purpose thermal fuses, backup thermal fuses and full range fuses according to the breaking current range. The breaking current range of the general purpose fuse refers to the range from the overload current that is 1.6 to 2 times the rated current to the maximum breaking current. This thermal fuse is mainly used to protect power transformers and general electrical equipment. The breaking current range of the backup thermal fuse refers to the range from the overload current 4 to 7 times the rated current to the maximum breaking current. This fuse is often used in series with the contactor. When the overload current is smaller than the range of 4 to 7 times of the rated current, the contactor is used to realize the breaking protection. Mainly used to protect the motor.
