HC18 / 8AM high current motor thermal protector
Bimetallic switch with high current overheating protection 8AM
The 8AM series bimetallic protector is an overheat protection switch with both over-temperature protection and precise control of current overload. It can effectively prevent high-power motors, transformers, etc., from damage caused by excessive current and high temperature.
Design principle:
Principle of temperature protection:
The 8AM series thermal protector can accurately control current and temperature. The current passes through the bimetallic strip. When the motor and electrical appliances cannot work normally and the surrounding temperature is too high, the bimetallic reed of the thermal protector will bounce off the silver contacts to disconnect the current, so that the electrical appliances are protected. When the thermal protector is cooled to a safe temperature, the contact is automatically closed and reset to be energized.
Principle of current overload protection:
The auxiliary heating element in the HC18 series thermal protector is matched with the bimetallic element, which has the function of accurately controlling the trip time of the overload current. When the current (motor, transformer... etc.) is too large or the locked-rotor current exceeds the trip value set by the thermal protector, the protector can instantly cut off the circuit to protect the electrical appliance.
characteristic:
Large electrical capacity, long life and high reliability
Very precise trip time to prevent excessive motor temperature
It has the dual performance of inductive over-current protection and over-temperature protection
Electrical Specifications:
125VAC/250VAC: 15A-60A
12VDC/24VDC: 15A-60A
technical parameter:
Action temperature: 80℃-180℃, one specification every 5℃
Tolerance of operating temperature: There are two types: ±5℃ and ±8℃
Trip time @25℃: 4S-10S
